TIPS:
Ticket
Plan early the better. AirAsia always have sale and better on a look out on their site. =D
Well, I'm booking using Airpaz, it is good, they will look for the cheapest flight. Same like Skyscanner.

Car Rental
Make sure before you accept the car, check the engines, fuel, tires and air coolant.
I rent this car from Car Rental owner, thank God I check the air coolant of the car, and seriously it is EMPTY and DRY!

The owner was like, she got a feedback from other customer before me that the car broke down severally. Seriously ask for another car! I regret that I should have ask for another car coz our car like pickup really slowly at Kundasang and we almost got an accident while trying to overtake.

And thankfully our car broke down at Kota Kinabalu (KK) after we went to Kundasang.

1. Check the tires. Its hard to find air pump and fuel gas station at Kundasang so, better settle them all at Kota Kinabalu town.

2. If you're staying at Hounon Ridge Farmstay, it is situated on the mountain, so ask the car rental if its fine to drive on the mountain. I got cancel last minute because they said driving there its risky. Well, for me it is not that risky like you need 4x4 to drive there. The road is fine but some have pavement and some don't, also lacks of lights post on road. So better reach the homestay before 5.30pm - 6.00pm.

Also, there are other options in Kundasang. You can look all the list of homestay by clicking this
👉 link here. 👈
Hope it helps. 😎

Hotel/Homestay

In Kundasang, I stayed in Hounon Ridge Farmstay. For this homestay, you have to ask really² early because their rooms are fully taken. Since it went viral in facebook for a beautiful view, so no wonder it will be fully booked. They don't provide breakfast because they are more to camping concept, so I suggest you buy food beforehand.

In Kota Kinabalu, we stayed in Promenade Apartment. It is near Pasar Sinsuran/Pasar Filipina like 5 minutes drives. So, it is a great place to stay. As for food, don't worry. They have mamak restaurant open 24hr and DIY dobi nearby.

Food/Places to Eat

Driving from Kota Kinabalu to Kundasang took about 2 hours driving. In the meantime, buy some snacks to munch at Pasar Sinsuran 😁
Along the way, there are a lot of food stall on the side of the road called "Sinalau Bakas" means Smoked Wild Boar. So, not recommend to Muslims to stop by 😄 Move along.

Along the way, you will pass by Rumah Terbalik (Upside Down House). They have restaurants too but unfortunately, you need to book 3 days prior. But up ahead, there are Tamparuli small town (4-6 minutes ahead from Rumah Terbalik), you will find some small restaurants there. (For Muslims, be on a look out for Halal sign)

Also, you will pass by Pekan Nabalu, they also sell some fruits, juice and etc there. Of course, you might want to stop by there. You can take a view of the Mount Kinabalu from their high post.

Desa Dairy Farm

To take a nice view or pictures of the cow at the farm, I suggest you reach there before 10-11 am because of the fog.
We reach there late because of the tires, thats why better to do it early at KK.

Snorkeling & Zipline

There's a lot of Zipline + Snorkeling package, but mostly range RM200 - RM250 per person.
I choose the package from DiverseBorneo. So far, I found their package is cheapest among others that provide the same.

Not only you got 3 trips snorkeling, they include you to zipline as well.
For more info, visit their site : http://www.diverse-borneo.com/kota-kinabalu-diving-package/coral-flyer-zipline-snorkeling/

Email them first for more question.

FROM YOUR PHONE,
go to your Wifi Network setting, where you scan for Wifi networks right?
